Dane has worked with Apria for 8 years and is located in sunny Southern California. Dane is very busy, spending his working hours in the field with providers, but he did take a moment to share his thoughts on his work here at Apria, why it's important to him, and what he enjoys doing while he's not at work:
I joined Apria shortly after graduating from college. I quickly found that this job challenged me in all the ways I needed. Being a competitive person, it gave me a sense of achievement, which I highly value. I’ve always felt that if I work hard and prove myself, there is room for growth in this company.
The opportunities for advancement and pride in the work we provide is why I have continued to stay with Apria.
I’m proud to work at Apria because it’s a company that makes a difference in patients' lives every day. The equipment we provide can help bring someone back home to their family and loved ones. We truly make a difference in people's lives, acting as ambassadors for products that patients may benefit from. When someone is going through a tough time, or when one of their loved one is struggling, I strive to alleviate some of their burden by providing exceptional service. By ensuring they get the right equipment at home, I help take care of one of the stressful tasks in caring for a family member.
I help patients safely navigate the complexities of our healthcare system by ensuring they receive the necessary therapies in the post-acute setting. This involves having empathy for their situations while streamlining complex billing processes for doctors' offices, who already have so much on their plates. Essentially, we act as the middleman in patient care, bridging the gap between patients and the medical equipment they need.
I live in Southern California with my beautiful wife and two children. Having grown up in Detroit, Michigan, and having lived in almost every state in the Midwest, I sometimes have to pinch myself that I now live so close to the Pacific Ocean.
Most of my hobbies revolve around the beach. I love waking up and taking my family to the beach for breakfast and lunch, and watching my kids play in the ocean. I’m also an avid runner and love physical exercise. Running on the beaches, pushing my kids in the stroller, and finding a palm tree to sit under while I knock out a quick workout are some of my favorite activities.
